Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational ministry, dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities throughout the United States. It began in 1994 with 34 families from Monroe, Georgia and in April 2006, Angel Food fed over 3,950,000 families in 32 states while spreading the Good News of Christ. A $30, 1-unit food order assists in feeding a family of 4 for about 1 week or a single person for almost a month. Food is the same high quality purchased at a grocery store with no seconds or outdated items, with both frozen and fresh items for more than a $60-$70 retail value. Food stamps are accepted. Use Angel Food for your own family, donate to another family or to Community Connection Ministries to distribute as needs arise.
How You Can Help!
Each month volunteers are needed help pass out food to our community. The time commitment is approximately 3 hours on Distribution Day (usually the third Saturday of the month). Jobs include greeting, checking people in, taking new orders, placing food in boxes, carrying the food to cars and breaking down boxes. A separate team is also needed for set up and tear down. This is the perfect “jump in and get your feet wet” serving opportunity. Sign up is always available at Guest Services in the lobby or you may sign up below.
